What to Expect with Dermal Fillers

Dermal Fillers are quite comfortable due to the lidocaine that is already inside the syringe. We will also apply topical numbing to alleviate the feeling of the needle poke.

We will consult before treating. It doesn’t matter if it’s your 1st or 100th time with us, we will never rush your time with us. Our dedication is you – for you to be as comfortable and happy as possible. That will always be our focus. You are not just a number to us, you are the most important person to us.

There will be swelling after your treatment and there is always a chance of bruising; some days you won’t and some days you will. We are working with needles going into your skin. Are there ways to prevent as much as possible? Absolutely.

Stop fish oils, NSAIDS (Ibuprofen and Advil as they thin your blood), taking Arnica one week prior, but our go-to products we recommend for optimal healing is Alastin’s Regenerating Skin Nectar and Alastin’s Inhance Post Injection Serum.

Swelling is completely normal. The ‘worst’ of the swelling is the first 3 days. Allow your body to heal for 2 week and at times you may heal slower due to an insurmountable amount of reasons.

If it is your first time treating with Dermal Fillers, expect to retreat within 6-8 months of your first treatment. Your body needs to acclimate to the product as it is essentially ‘fighting off’ this foreign product. Once you’ve retreated, you will only need to retreat every 10 months. You do not want to wait until all of the product has dissolved just like when you do lasers; overlapping treatments = optimal results.
