Veins Be Gone!

We all have our insecurities and veins that show may be yours. If the sight of spider veins or broken blood vessels bum you out – we got you so that you don’t have to cover them up anymore.

Although unwanted veins are usually not harmful to your health, they can be uncomfortable, even painful. Plus they take control of your wardrobe choices. Which is one more thing you really don’t want to deal with.

Our treatment of choice is Laser Vein Removal. An FDA-approved treatment from Cutera’s Excel HR and Xeo device. They are both effective, customizable, and safe to reduce or eliminate veins, pigmented and vascular lesions.

What Causes Unwanted Veins?

Both spider veins and reticular veins are considered to be in Stage One on the level of severity. These are the veins that we are able to treat with our Laser Vein Removal. These are more common in women than they are with men (sounds about right) but there are many factors into why they can occur:

  • – Aging and/or Hereditary
  • – Trauma or Injury
  • – Chronic Sun Exposure
  • – Hormonal Changes
  • – Weight Gain or Obesity
  • – Continues Standing
  • – Wearing Heels
  • – Drinking Alcohol

Spider veins, or telangiectasias, are small broken capillaries and can appear on both the legs and face. They usually appear as thin veins that snake crookedly and visibly just beneath the skin’s surface.

Another common type of veins that clients want to treat are Varicose veins. They are quite different and we do not treat these types of veins here at our office. Varicose veins are typically swollen and raised from the surface of the skin, and they twist painfully just below the surface. The swelling results from a reversal of blood flow, which increases the pressure inside the vessel to an often uncomfortable level. In addition to being considered aesthetically unsightly, they can cause health complications because these unhealthy veins are not only siphoning blood from surrounding healthy veins but also delaying blood return to the heart. While in many cases, Varicose veins don’t cause serious health problems, they can lead to medical problems like thrombophlebitis, deep vein thrombosis, and skin ulceration. With Laser Vein Removal, we can greatly reduce or even eliminate Spider veins and Reticular veins. Which will improve blood circulation and help prevent the appearance of new veins.

How does Laser Vein Removal Work?

CUTERA Excel HR

Excel HR combines a long-pulse 1064 nm Nd:YAG laser with a high-power 755 nm Alexandrite laser for safe, effective vein removal on all skin types. The combination of wavelengths makes for a customizable solution for undesired veins and vascular lesions.
This combination targets and removes small veins by collapsing the walls of the problem veins, after which the body naturally eliminates them.
For maximum comfort, the excel HR features sapphire contact cooling, and a local anesthetic can be administered for even more comfort.

CUTERA Xeo

Xeo is a multi-engine, multi-application platform designed to treat problem veins as well as a wide array of common nonsurgical aesthetic concerns, including wrinkles, hair removal, skin revitalization and more.
Xeo features laser and light-based solutions that improve the overall complexion and health of the skin. The Acutip handpiece addresses small spider veins, while the Nd:YAG handpiece is ideal for treating vein issues on the face and legs.

For maximum results, it is recommended to do a series of treatments. Spread out a month apart, the veins will diminish with each treatment. Everyone is different on how many treatments you need based on many factors. We will consult with you on each visit to customize your setting for optimal results.
