IPL – The Go To Laser Treatment for Pigmentation

Living in a climate where it’s pretty much sunny 24/7 is both a blessing and a curse. Blessing? Awesome weather. Curse? Pigmentation from that awesome weather.

Thankfully we take our complexion very seriously so when we researched which device to offer you, we of course chose the best. IPL for Body Areas

At EllEve Med Spa, our IPL rejuvenating treatment can treat the body to improve the appearance of your neck, chest, hands, and arms to help address hyperpigmentation, age spots, freckles, and spider veins.

What to Expect During Your Treatment

During your treatment you will feel a quick, warm rubber-band snap and with each pulse it accurately targets the melanocytes with a broad-spectrum light into the sub-dermis. This essentially ‘shatters’ the pigment. As with most laser treatments you will need to do multiple sessions for IPL as it takes time for the deeper pigmentation to be brought up to the surface.

Downtime is minimal – you will see the superficial pigment turn darker and essentially turn into little coffee grinds. They will stay on your skin for a few days and slough off naturally. You are able to wear makeup with this process and looks like you just have darker freckles.
