How to Conjure Up PRP
We take a sample of your blood and run it through a centrifugal process. As it’s spinning, the red and white blood cells are being separated in order to create the highest amount of platelets. When this process is done, we draw them up in tiny syringes and then we are ready to begin!
What to Expect
As the PRP is being processed, your Nurse will apply a topical anesthetic in the areas to be treated. Many offices will have you choose between injections or infusing the PRP with Microneedling. Here at EllEve Med Spa we do both on the same day of your visit to make sure you get the best result possible.
When we are Microneedling the skin with PRP, it is the same concept as Standard Microneedling. Instead of using a Hyaluronic Acid based gel to infuse, we use the PRP, and you can only imagine how much more effective it will be. Once that is completed we will then inject the remaining PRP into areas that need extra attention. Most popular areas are the Under Eyes, Acne Scars, Surgical Scars and textural concerns; like fine lines, wrinkles, and stretch marks. There is also a brightening benefit with addressing hyperpigmentation.
The entire treatment will last an hour. It is recommended to do in a series of at least 3 for maximum results. Though you see the instant benefit of the Microneedling portion, it takes time to see the PRP benefit. Just from one treatment it can take up to 3 months! The power of regeneration is incredible, but you will have to be patient. The wait is worth it, we promise!
